I am Murali Gopalan a veteran from the Pharmaceutical Industry. I recently shifted to Bengaluru with my wife.
I am no app freak, but am a skeptical person and possibly always looking for the vulnerabilities of any new system that becomes a part of my regular life.
Coming from the background of GUI based PC’s and understanding the hassles and irritants called viruses, it took me a while to move into smartphones as I equated the two. Even after moving to a smartphone I did not feel completely safe. I felt that many of my critical data, which could be stored on my smartphone, would not be safe and consulted a friend of mine.
Trusting him I downloaded and installed miFon, and every morning used to open my phone with fear….but it always gave me a message, phone scanned, malware removed and status of the phone “SAFE”.
After a while I started to move my critical data in phases, starting with “not so important” first. I never realized that after a few months, my smartphone usage was higher than my PC usage. I even started using my smartphone to conduct monetary transactions albeit with some trepidation. But all’s been well so far.
Thereafter, I started analyzing the features and benefits of the miFon software and with the help of the posts in their blogs became aware that miFon is not an antivirus app but can do many more things. The most important being the “lost phone finder”.
What used to worry me before was, what if I lost my phone, but I now know miFon will track it for me.
Realisations often come with age, maturity, and experience. The biggest realization at my situation I have presently is that ultimately we all wish to preserve our identity and our peace of mind.
If you feel so, take my suggestion, download and install miFon as it will not only protect your family and your personal data but also protect your phone!
This is not a run of the mill love story, that’s why it’s titled as a miFon Love Story!
Hi!, I am Amarnath Prasad, an Alumni of JNU with Masters in the Spanish Language. I represent one
of India’s leading manufacturer & exporter of Industrial goods, in their International Sales Operations. I am married to Ashmita Mandal and we are based in Gurgaon in the National Capital Region in India.
Let me take this opportunity to provide insight into a new app that I have recently used and been completely satisfied with its results. I am talking about MiFon which has started making waves recently and I think it is a must for all smartphone users.
I didn’t think much of the app initially but came to know its amazing features when my wife(a habitual phone looser) unfortunately forgot her mobile in a ride-sharing cab. We got in touch with the driver immediately who said there is no mobile in his cab with a straight face.
We lost all hope of getting the mobile back and anyone who has lost a mobile understands the pain that we went through.
Giving up hope, the first thing was to order for a new phone(with 1-day delivery) and a SIM card to keep her in the network. Being in a sattelite family the mobile phone is a must, especially when both are working.
It was purely by chance that my wife came across the mail that miFon had sent when she was going through her mails on her new device. It not only had the location of the mobile but had the face of the driver when he was trying desperately to open the mobile.
We got the much-needed evidence. We first tried to contact the driver directly who continued maintaining his innocence.
Then we went on the social media platforms with the evidence which generated a lot of heat on the ride-sharing company who not only contacted us immediately but decided to help us out.
As there was undeniable evidence, the driver grudgingly admitted his mistake and gave us our mobile back.
We also made sure to inform the ride-sharing company to start educating the drivers about this new technology which leaves very little to “NO”chance of grabbing another’s mobile asset!
I was so happy with the app that I recommended it to all my office colleagues to avoidany such incidence. My wife did the same with her colleagues.
Unfortunately one of my colleagues lost his mobile in a crowded bus and he hadn’t installed the app. He learned the lesson the hard way.
This app, MIFON, is very useful and I would recommend it to everybody who values his Family, Personal data, and Smartphone!

Like many in big cities, we too migrated to the National capital region, from smaller towns of India. With such moves comes the sense of insecurity associated with large cities. Iron grill on door and windows of your homes, guards in the society you live in give you a sense of security as you go on with your daily lives. But you are always watchful even if subconsciously, after all even your neighbor in a big city is a stranger.
I am Neelika Kaul, a mother and a teacher with a Multinational educational institution and would like to emphasize that with time me and my husband Kapil Kaul, who works for an MNC tech firm, somewhere found a value of “prevention being better than cure” within our family. My children who are teenagers aged 17 and 14 have also inherited similar value as a fundamental part of their upbringing.
Recently, in our family, we came across 2 situations and that’s why our family wanted to share with concerned parents and explain how every incident can be looked upon as -ve and ignored though it could have +ve takeaways which we often ignore.
My daughter’s school organizes an annual Cadet Corp offsite camp as part of their school curriculum. She had to go to a camp which was in a far off location and for 5 nights and live in tents. They were not entitled to call on/use mobile phones but could carry them.
It was not only for us that we were uncertain(though we trust the school and their security measures) but it was also the first time for our daughter to stay alone, away from the comforts and security of her home and manage herself on her own.
This is when I came across an app that allowed me to track her location using google map, but it did not end there. Our worry was, what happens if she was in an area which has no network coverage. To our delight, we found that this was the only app where we could use an SMS based tracking mechanism, where the reply came to us with the coordinates of the physical location of the phone. Though it was not “classical real time” but we observed that it was near 100% when it came to perfection. We asked our daughter, showed her the application and explained to her that we did not want to “Police” her, but how we could achieve absolute peace of mind-both ways. Surprisingly, while our apprehension was that she would say “why do you want to do this”, she really understood the purpose of the app and she showed more comfort with the app than us.
Should I need to say anything at this juncture: what happened during the trip? It was not only a win-win for both parties, we used it for the 2nd time when my son went for an interschool activity that was a day long in a different city.
This is how our association with miFon started! oh! sorry, my mistake, the application was downloaded from google playstore and is called miFon.
As a satellite family, many of you who are reading this would co-relate with your pasts and many who are apprehensive about the future to come, we would want you to try miFon. Remember, you tell your child “i’ll track you”, they feel insecure…you explain to them why you want to track them? they understand that “you are their best friends”….possibly that’s why this part of the solution in that app is called “friend and family tracker”
